Alone

I walked along
a lonely road
with no one by my side.
A sudden spark of light
glittered ahead
it was my friend.
So distant
as I walked along
a lonely road.

I walked along
a friendly road.
I felt the joy
peace
the meaning
the light shined
and seemed to have no end.
As I walked along
a friendly road.

I walked along
a grievance road
the light had died out.
It faded away,
along with my soul.
I realized all this occurred
as I walked along
that grievance road.

I walked along the road of life
I don't know what ahead.
All I know is darkness
follows those who
are on the road alone.
