I am alone
Eyes open
I am surrounded.
Closed
Tries to convince me
that it is better.
Opened
tries the same.
Mind closed
I am safe
Mind open
I am vulnerable
To the world of its horrible feel.
Saddened
I remain closed
Fearing opened
afraid of rejection
afraid of forever's oppression.
Not by disasters
or mistakes.
But by people.
False expectations
and a wondering mind.
No one cares.
So why
Stay
Opened?
