Hour Soap Opera

Now was the time
Hopping into the vehicle;
Yes
I am actually here
Out away from
my miserable life
for even just a moment.

Sweet melody wisps
while careful rider is he
for precious cargo
centimeters away
right next to him:
Me.

Quickly to the diner
Which I am not accustomed.
We sit.
Two shakes
and a fry
to share.
Symbolic situation?
I think,
or am I just being silly?

Which ever it may be
I swear, I've never
had so much ice cream
in one sitting.
A mere understatement
to the sweet conversation
shared.

With enough boldness
to continue gazing
into his eye
Listening.
Absorbing.
Interested.
I've never been in such power.

Slow am I
and my little mouth.
The final scoop of sweetness
I lick from the spoon.
Ready to go!
Oh how I wish it could last forever!

Fastest hour of my life.
Happiest hour of my life.

Drawing to an end.
As the clouds shiver
and begin to cry.
Joyful along with me!
Scampering out,
Back to the battle ship!
Quiet drenched
But unaffected.
Feeling like a real life soap opera.

An hour soap opera,
A dream I never
would have thought
would come true.
Something I was beginning
to think
I could never experience.

For that moment
I was the heroin
of my drama.

For that hour
I was able to be myself,
outside my life.

What more could I ask for?
Nothing!
Smoothly pulling back
To my Red Royale.
A goodbye was said
Which I hope
Won't be the last!
